♦ POLICE CASES. Miohael Lipinski and Florence Turner appeared before Mr. C. K. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court on Saturday to answer charges of being drunk and with using indelicatelanguage. Acting-Sub-Inspector Lander stated that tbo parties met a man in Courtenay Place, and took such a fancy to him that they were loth to let him continue his way. After considerable evidence, had be&a called, the Magistrate imposed a term of seven dhys’ imprisonment on the mala defendant for using the language and a fine of ss. for drunkenness. The woman was fined -C3 for indecent language, and ss. for getting intoxicated. The young American seaman, John William Golfer, pleaded guity when charged with being idle and disorderly, mid was remanded. to appear to-day week, when he will also be charged with entering the Dominion, being a restricted immigrant under the ' Act.
