DAMMING THE KAAVARAU FALLS By Tbleou Dunedin, January 18. At Queenstown this morning, the Warden granted an application for leave to dam the Kawarau Falls, tho company providing safeguards for the local bodies. The AVarden stated that the Government evidently regarded it ns a national undertaking, as the Mines and Public Works Departments had investigated the matter.
