4 The crew of Southland’s Sanders Cup representative, Murihiku, who come all the way from Stewart Island, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning. The crew comprises Messrs. T. Bragg, R. Bragg, V. Bragg, W. Johnson, R. Watson, and L. Carstenson. The.yo-ung son of Mr. T. Bragg came as a mascot. Although Mr. T. Bragg has been elected skipper, he stated yesterday that he did not intend to take the tiller for all the races: “More than one member of my crow is capable of acting captain,” he stated. “We have come all the way from Stewart Island,” said Mr. Bragg to a Dominion representative, “and we have heaps of confidence. Murihiku is not a Rona designer, but she has been well looked after, and is a fine little boat. She will take a deal of beating in a light wind, and Murihiku, which looks very fine painted a dark maroon, with white bottom, and gold band, was out for a sail yesterday afternoon. All the members of her crew belong to tho Stewart Island Yacht Club, Some good racing should be witnessed this afternoon, when the Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club are holding club handicaps for first, second, and 18ft. and under class yachts. The racing will coffimence at 2.45 p.m;, and the yachts will start from the Clyde Quay Wharf.
