PRISON FOR A “JOKER”
4 BENCH’S DECISION AROUSES STRONG COMMENT. By Telegraph—Press Association. Marton, January 18. Strong comment has been aroused by a sentence imposed by Mr. Watson, S.M., to-day, on a commercial traveller who picked up a small parcel on a' station platform and retained it as a joko with, his fellow travellers. He was sentenced to fourteen days hard labour without tho option of a fine. Hepresentation is being made te the Minister of Justice.
