REVENUE FOR HIGHWAYS FUND Tho question of motor vehicle taxation was discussed at the meeting of tho Main Highways Board on Thursday. It was decided to write to the Minister of Finance requesting that in addition to the moneys derived from the tire tax, the main highways fund be credited with the whole of the revenue derived from the taxation imposed on tho importation of motor vehicles. It was urged that, as the present expenditure on main highways was being incurred in order to cone with the requirements of (he motor vehicle, it was only reasonable that the board should derive tho benefit of the '"hole of the revenue from that source.
