The' Paramount Theatre in Wellington is now under new management. The film programme this week is featured by an interlude in which Audrey Knight, an English character impersonator, appears. Miss Knight is said to be an artist of considerable originality. Her Cockney dialpct numbers are little hits of 'characterisation, particularly ‘’Jonah, the Had Girl of the Family.” Her methods are in some ways reminiscent, of Wish Wynne. The warm reception she received on her’ first appearance has been repeated at every subsequent performance. Mr. 0. N. Gillespie, general manager in Now Zealand for First National Pictures, returned from Christchurch yesterday.
