LORD MORLEY’S WILL

NO PAPERS TO BE USED FOR BIOGRAPHIES.

Viscount Morley of Blackburn, whose estate has been valued for probate at £59,765, with net personality £51,897. directed in his will that no one should have access to any of his papers for the purpose of writing memoirs of himself or anyone else. “I give to my nephew. Guy Estell Morley, all my correspondence, diaries, and written fragments, to be dealt with as he may think, fit at . his own discretion, and as it is possible . that some parson may desire to write a memoir of my life, which I regard as wholly superfluous, I enjoin upon niy executors, and each of them, to refuse to aid or encourage any such person to have access to any of my papers, whether personal or acquired in the course of official duty, either for perusal or otherwise.
