TO BAR ORIENTALS
4 NEW AMERICAN STIPULATION. (Rec. January 17, 7.20 p.m.) Washington, January 16. Approval has been given by the House of Representatives’ Immigration Committee to a clause in the Immigration Bill barring Orientals from the United States. It stipulates that no alien who is ineligible for citizenship shall be permitted to enter tho country to take up permanent residence there. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
