A proposal has been submitted to shareholders that tho business of | Mackie and Company, whisky distillers, be sold to the present shareholders for £1,300,000, the shareholders to form a new company, to be known as" the White Horse Distilleries, Limited. The ( new company will take over the present stocks of whisky, valued at £3,000,000, for £1,500,000. Six firms have submitted twenty tenders for the proposed bridge over Sydney Harbour. Eleven designs are of the cantilever type, seven of the arch tvpe, and two of the inverted arch type. Mr. R.
