Sir Auckland Geddes will emphasise his opinion that America is playing an important role in the world in trying to solve her own vast problems. In a farewell address to the Pilgrims’ Society, the retiring British Ambassador said that nothing was eo important as a complete understanding and frank co-operation between the English-speak-ing peoples to provide a nucleus for the world that is to arise from the ashes of the World War.—Aus.-N.Z.
