LONELY WOMAN’S 20 DOGS
BURNT to DEATH SURROUNDED BY HER PETS. It was stated at an inquest on Miss Mary Charlotte Jenner, 50, of Greenwich, who was found burned to death, that on the premises were 20 dogs, 2 parrots, and 14 chickens. A doctor said he found the woman’s l>ody lying beside a camp bedstead in the basement. Under the body was a small oil lamp. It was conjectured that she had either fallen over it oi knockeel it over. The bed clothing was charred to powder. Around the room were dogs in kennels anel baskets, and it was surprising that these had not been suffocated. A sister, Mrs. Florence Hall, of Folkestone, mid her sister lived entirely alone because she liked to be by herself. siderable amount of money by a n>bber, The Coroner’s officer, said the only furniture in the room was the bedstead and chair, but there were several boxes and barrels containing dog and chicken food. The Coroner recorded a verdict of accidental death.
