NEW YEAR’S EVE FOLLY
COMMENTS BY CORONER. Dunedin, January 17. At the inquest regarding the death of Agnes Sunderland, who died in the hospital from wounds received through the bursting of a rifle at Port Chalmers on New Year’s Eve, the Coroner commented upon the folly of using cartridges in the celebration of New Year. • Tho evidence showed that the breach of the riflo had burst, and a verdict of accidental death through tho bursting of a rifle was returned.
