ATHLETICS
A feature of the Wellington provincial championship athletic meeting, which is to take place at Athletic Park next Saturday, will he the cycling events, seventeen entries having been received for each. The AVairarapa sub-centre is sending down a particularly strong team, including ladies and cyclists. Runners and cyclists from Levin will be competing at the meeting, also AV. AVilton, of Palmerston North in the jumps. There is a prospect also that C. H. Taylor, champion middle-distance runner will be a competitor, in which case the half-mile event will have a greatlyadded interest. A full programme has been arranged, so that a crowded afternoon’s entertainment is assured.
