Much interest has been centred during the week in the display of models ’J 1 t ° windows of Messrs. Spear and Murray opticians. in Willis Street. By far ihomosl interesting exhibit is a miniature model of H.M.S. New Zealand, constructed by Mr.L. ?.K. Murray. Built on ilio scale of one-eighth of ? 11 inch to a foot the model is sft. It is fitted with everything complete, even to the little brass searchlights. the propellers ano driven by electricity,' and when the current is at full streng h hey travel around at a great rate. Jhe httings display skilled workmanship, and Mr Murray staled that he spent a yuir on 'the task. The other models include a beam engine, built by Mr. Pritchard, and a small pumping set made by Mr. C. Bell.
