HATAITAI MUNICIPAL ELECTORS

At th'e monthly meeting of the Hataitai Municipal Electors' Association, regret was expressed at the City Council’s advice that no sum was included in the eurrent year’s estimates far extending tho breastwork in tho vicinity of the Hatnitai Swimming Club’s shed, despate the fact that the item was specifically mentioned in the daily Press as being portion of the works provided for when tho allocation was framed. Tho council is again being requested to undertake this neoesbary work when next year’s estimates are prepaired. Tho dangerous condition of the Waipapa Rond footpath was referred to, and it was hoped that tho necessary, repair work would not bo much-longer delayed. Tiro removal of a disused electric light polo near tho junction of Upper and Lower Rata Roads, is also being sought. The final figures of the Ilataitaa Radium Fund Appeal showed a total donation to tho fund of £206 16s. 4d. The Civic League’s annual report was received anil discussed.
