> SENSATIONAL DISCOVERY Berlin., January 15. Sensational discoveries followed the death of Walter Brachniann. a German who was shot while attempting to burgle a jeweller’s shop. Tlie police found diamonds and jewellery valued at £.50.000 at Brachmann’s villa m Thuringia. They arrested a man named Hausmann, one of Brachmann’s associates, who was in possession of a number of jewels, including the proceeds of robberies in England and Holland. „ , It was revealed that Brachmann lived for vears in England under the name of Gro’-'*. but when it became too hot for him he fled to Holland where he opened n hank account with £4s,ooo.—Svdnev “Sun” Cable.
