TUBERCULAR PATIENTS GAIN ADMISSION TO N.Z. Br T’Er.EGßArn—PriK«s Association. Auckland, January 16. Complaint was made at a meeting of the Hospital Board that two pulmonary tuberculosis patients who arrived in Wellington from Australia in December, having served in the Australian forces, are now in hospital here without means. The chairman said these men were found sleeping in the Domain, and thev now were a burden on the ratepayers. Personally, he thought the medical officer who had admitted these men was liable. According to Health Department regulations these men should not have been landed in New Zealand. The board resolved to ask the Health Department to return the men to Australia.
