HOW LONG WILL HE LIVE?
“PUSSYFOOT” JOHNSON’S DECLARATION. (Rec. January 10, 8.25 p.m.) New York, January 10. On returning from South-east Africa, Mr. “Pussyfoot” Johnson greeted pressmen with this statement: “I am not going to die, until the whole world is dry. Prohibition is making progress in England and South Africa. The Sultan of Zanzibar is an ardent prohibitionist.” He related how hooligans gave him trouble, in Port Elizabeth. “It was a wild night for trying to make a speech,” he said, “but I waited until the next night. Then 100 Rhodes University students threw the brawlers out and maintained order.” . Mr. Johnson added that his travels were beginning to take physical toll. His left eye was weak and he was growing deaf, but he would continue his propaganda as long as he was able to talk. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable . Assn.
