Last Saturday was a fine shooting day at Trenthain, the wind coming in from three to five o’clock, and although it was inclined at times to bo variable good scores were possible Considering the conditions there should have been much bettor shooting than there was, only one rifleman getting into the nineties. . This was A. V. Swanson, of Karori, who with 49 nt 300 yards and 44 at 600 yards registered li good performance. He topped tho list at the first range, where the next best totals also came from Karori, Major Taylor and Croxton each getting the good scores of 47. At 600 yards F.
