ATHLETICS
The Wellington Centre N.Z.A.A.A. will commence a series oi afternoon sports meetings at the Athletic Park to-mor-row. Included in the programme are all the usual sprint and distance events, as well as cycle and ladies’ races. A feature of tho meeting will bo the challenge relay race for the Heenan baton bet?veen teams representing Wellington and ’Varsity Clubs. Strong teams havo been selected by both clubs and tho .issue is verv open. The 220yds. _B grade championship will serve as an incentive to middle-mark men, and is expected to provide a stirring contest. The first event is timed for 2.30 p.m.
