The experience of a girl 13 years of age is one little to be/”, vied te ing to a statement made by her at the Mice Station, she left Taihape at 6.30 a m on November 27 en route to Lyttelton, where she was to be met by a cousin, who was to take her to her aunt in Akaroa. When she boarded ? tramcar at Thomdon Station she had £. Ils. 7d.. but when she arrived at tn© Union Steam Ship Company s office after walking from the tram stop opposite the Midland Hotel, she discovered that her money wr - missing. She is now destitute, and wi” nt money to pay her paeage to Lytte'ton. The money consisted of a note, a. 10s. note, and Is. 7d. The bank and numbers of the notes are unknown. Should anyone find them he or she ie asked to communicate with the Central Police Station.
