DAIRY EXPORT CONTROL BALLOT AATJO SHOULD VOTE. Sir, —After reading the Hon. Mr. Nosworthy’s speech on the Dairy Produce Export Control Bill, where he said it is proposed to take a vote of the actual suppliers—the people who milk the cows—on asking one dairyman, who has been milking cows on shares for the last four or. five years if he had a vote or could sign a nomination paper, he said no. Now, Mr. Editor, here .is a man who is supporting his wife and family, and as much interested in the dairy market as any of us, as he is paid on the returns he produces from the cows, whereas his boss, who perhaps never milked a cow in his life, has a vote. I think if you could get a return showing tho share-milking done in Now Zealand it would open your eyes, and you would not have so many M.P.’s calling themselves dairy farmers or producers. I would like to know how many of the producers who met in Wellington to select their ticket, milk cows. Perhaps they will give your readers theii names.
