VETERAN MINISTER
REV. T. G. BROOKE RETIRES
The retirement of the Rev. T. G. Brooke, general secretary of Home Missions of the Methodist Church of New Zealand, was announced at the sitting of we Auckland district synod. Mr. Brooke entered the, ministry in 1879. and in 1906 was ‘chairman of the Wanganui district and president of the conference. In 1909 he was appointed to his present position. When Mr. Brooke took office, the circuit income from the Home Mission fund was £2445, as against £7055 to-day, an increase of 188 per cent.
