TOWN HALL CLOCK
COMPLAINT ABOUT DIAL LIGHTING.
“It is practically impossible to distinguish the hands of the new clock in the tower of the Town Hall at any considerable distance.” remarked a resident of the city to a Dominion reporter last evening. “I live in Wallace Street, and although I can see a blaze of light where the clock is, the dial itself is quite indistinct. I think the trouble lies in the fact that practically the whole tower is illuminated. If the tower were in darkness, like it , is at the Post Ofiice, and the dial alone illuminated, I am sure that the clock would be of better tise to people who live some distance away.”
