FORTHCOMING PAGEANT
MEETING OF CITIZENS TO-NIGHT.
A public meeting of citizens will be held in the Council Chamber at the Town Hall to-night for the purpose of furthering tho grand military tournament and citizen soldiers’ pageant which will be held at Nev/towii Pnxk from March 1 to 8 next, in aid of the local Re-girnental and Community Chib funds. The Mayor of Wellington (Mr. R. A. Wright. M.P.) will preside, and the-project will be explained by Mr. A. Gray, K.C. (oji behalf of the Community Club), and bv Alajor W. I. K. Jennings, N.Z.S.C. (on behalf of the Wellington Garrison). Keen interest has already been aroused in the pageant, which will be conducted on strikingly original and spectacular lines, nnd it is expected that there will be a largo attendance at to-night’s meeting.
