(Seymour 143, Hardinge 172 not out. and 208 for five wickets, Seymour 105 not out), beat Essex (263 and 104, F. Woollev taking six wickets for 21 runs).
Sussex (294 and 191 (C. Woolley taking five wickets for 29), beat Northants (154 and 153, Tate taking six wickets for 28).
