IMPERIAL PREFERENCE
COMPATRIOTS’ CLUB TO BE REVIVED. London, June 7. A meeting of members of the House of Commons and the House of Lords decided to revive the Compatriots Club, originally founded by Mr. Joseph Chamberlain, which consists of members in favour of the adoption of a system of Imperial preference. It is thought that in view of the forthcoming Imperial Conference, the present is a suitable time for the revival of the club. The Earl of Seibourne was elected president.—“ The Times.
