MAGISTRATE’S COURT
POLICE AND SUMMONS CASES.
The police and summons cases in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday were dealt with by Mr. E. Page, S.M. A young man, Henry McNeill, stoutly. denied stealing a suit of clothes, valued at £l2 10s., from the R.M.S. Tahiti, and closely examined the witnesses called by the prosecution. The Magistrate decided that the case had been established, and sentenced accused to three months’ imprisonment; . A fine of £3 and costs was imposed on James Purchase, who was charged with being- in possession of an unregistered firearm. Robert Black, for unlawfully procuring the possession of a firearm, was fined £2 and costs. Charged with unlawfully delivering the possession of a Edwin Thomas Olds and each convicted and ordered to pay th a tarpaulin to and costs. '
