DOES DEATH END ALL?
DR. OLIVEB EXPOUNDS THEORY.
“Does Death End All?” This was the subject of Dr. French Oliveris, discourse at the Town Hall, last night. Tho preacher developed his discourse from Job xiv, 14: . ‘lf a man die, so he lives again.” Dr. Oliver first of all laid it down that the only authentic and. reliable guide in such a matter was the Word of God. According to Scripture, man was tripartite, consisting of spirit, soul, and body. Ho went on to refer to tho indestructibility, of the body: its form and expression colild be changed, but nob annihilated. The preacher proceeded to show that man was conscious of death, basing tins on Luke xvi, 19-31. and upon the presence of Moses on the mount of transfiguration. Reference was made to Revelations xi, to snow that, while at physical death the spirit and soul simply left the body and departed, either into conscious bliss or conscious torment. God could reunite the spirit and soul with the body, and this he would do when the resurrection takes place. . In response to Dr. Oliver’s closing appeal, a numbet of decisions were made. . . „ n To-night, the subject will be Mark of the Beast”
