DEATH OF MR. CHARLES CRUMP

WELL-KNOWN FOOTBALL OFFICIAL. London, April 15. Tlie death has occurred suddenly of Mr. Charles Crump, vice-president of the Football Association. He witnessed Saturday’s international fixture between Scotland and England, which was played at Glasgow.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. . [Tho late Mr. Crump (Birmingham and District Counties Football Association) was born at Kingsland on December 15, 1810. As a player he was a member and captain of tho Stafford. Road Workers’ Club, Wolverhampton from 1872-81, and won a number of medals in connection with the Birmingham and district cup, and other Midland cup competitions. He was elected to the Football Association in 1883. and was made a vice-president in 1886. Ho was first president of the Birmingham and D'strict Counties Association, an office he he'd to the time of his death. Mr. Crump was a very active member of several committees of the Football Association, and a member of the Football League Appeal Committee. Only recently he retired from a very important position with tho Great Western Railway Company at Stafford Road Works, Wolverhampton.] _______
