RIFLE SHOOTING

KABORI RIFLE CLUB. The Karori Rifle Club fired its competition for the Willoughby Cup on Saturday afternoon under service conditions, the programme of practices being the same as that for the Service series at the N.R.A. meeting. The competition resulted in a win for Rflmn. F. Ching, who holds the Willoughby Cup for one year and wins outright a silver miniature cup. Ching shot splendidly, his score including a 48 out of a possible 50 in the application practice at 200yds., and a 47 out of a possible 50 in the rapid shooting at 200 yards, i.e., 10 shots in 50 seconds. His total score of 166 is only one point less than the highest score put up in the same practices at the recent N.R.A. meeting. Trophies for the next best scores are won by, H. Croxton, G. Taylor, W. Osborn, and W. A. Farquhar. The principal scores are as under:-
