INTERNATIONAL ROMANCE
SECRET MARRIAGE OF ROCKEFELLER’S GRANDDAUGHTER. (Rec. April 15, 11.5 p.m.) London, April 14. The secret marriage of Miss Mathilde McCormick, granddaughter of Mr. J. D. Rockefeller, is announced.. It is the culmination of an international romance of the daughter of a. wealthy father and mother. The nuiriiqge. took place at a registry office in a middleclass district of London., where Moss McCormick had been living for three months. The bridegroom is Max Oser, a major in the Swiss Army, and proprietor of a riding school, whom Mathilde met while taking riding lessons during a holiday in Zurich, when she was eight years old. Mathilde is now eighteen, tall, and attractive. She handed the registrar the written consent of her father, who is a millionaire, and *hea.d of the International Harvester Company. There were no bridesmaids. The witness w.as a solicitor’s clerk. The counlo left for an unknown! address in Scotland. The romance has been known for several rears.
