As the couple did not appear at breakfast, police forced the bedroom door, and found the youth dcaH, fully dressed, even to gloves, with a bullet wound in his chest. The woman was naked on the other side of the bed. Under a wound in the chest the words were traced in rouge: “Pray for us.” A letter on tlie mantlepieco from the youth said ho was disgusted with life, and indicated that his parents refused to sanction his marriage because he was a minor-—Aue.-N.Z.
