THE CANADIAN RANGER. Murray Roberts and Co. have beennotifled by cable that tho Canadian Ranger, which left Halifax on March £. sailed from New London on April 1 for Auckland, where she is due about May 11. The vessel will tranship her southern cargo at Auckland, and will then go on to Brisbane, Sydney. Melbourne and Ade lai de. After discharge in Australia the Canadian Ranger will return to New Zealand to load for New York, Boaton. and Montreal about the middle of June. PESHAWUR SAILS TO-DAY It is announced by the Federal Line that the Peshawur, which arrived back at Wellington on Saturday morning from Wanganui roadstead, will sail at noon today for Boston. TAINUI IN THE STREAM. Shortly after 1 o’clock this morning the Shaw, s'avill and Albion Company’s liner Tainui arrived in the stream at Wellington from London and Southampton, via Panama. After the vessel lias been granted pratique she will berth thus mopping at the King’s Wharf to discharge her passengers and to put out part of her cargo. DORSET DUE TUTS MORNING. The liner Dorset, which comes to tho agency of the New Zealand Shipping Compinv. is due in the stream at Wellington early this morping from London and. Southampton, via, Panama. The vessel will berth, after pratique has beep granted, at No. 1 south (outer tee), Queen’s Wharf, to disembark passengers and unload their baggage. The Dorset is expected to get away from Wellington to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin. Napier, and New Plymouth to put out her cargo. ZITA CALLS IN. The auxiliary schooner Zita arrived unexpectedly at Wellington at 2.30 o'clock yesterdav morning bound from Whangape with 75,000 feet of timber lor Lyttelton. The vessel put in to Wellington for crude oil fuel, fresh water and stores. She left Whangape on April 4. and had fine weather with calms generally, but during n, couple of days' rough weather <ilt water got into the fresh water tank and it sea shifted one of the forward deck houses. The Zita io expected to resume her voyage to Lyttelton to-day. PARITUTU FOR OVERHAUL. The dredge Paritutu arrived nt Wellington at 1.10 p.m. yesterday from New Plymouth for an extensive overhaul. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Co. report that the Matakana, which left London on March 17 with cargo for Australian porta, after discharge there will come to New Zealand to load for London. The Union Co. announce the following movements of vessels engaged in their trans-Paciflc cargo service:— The Hauraki is expected to leave Sydney to-morrow for Pacific Coast, where elie will load late in May for Auckland. Melbourne. and Sydney. The Waiotapu. from PaciiV Coast worts, via Wellington, was expected to leave Melbourne on Friday for Adelaide and Sydney to complete discharge. The Wairuna. from Pacific Coast ports, 1b expected to clear San Francisco on Wednesday for Wellington. Lyttelton. Dunvdin, Melbourne, and Sydney. The Waahemo, from Pacific Coast ports, via Suva, Napier, and New Plymouth, was expected to clear Lyttelton ou Saturday tor, Timaru and Dunedin. She will return to Ban Francisco direct from New Zealand. Tho chartered steamer Berenaar is loading at Pacific Coast ports for Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne. She is expected to clear San Francisco to-day. NUDDEA NOT COMING. Advice has been received that the British India steamer Nudiea will not visit Wellingon this trip. Her cargo from Texas for Wellington will be discharged at Sydney, and transhipped to this port. The Nuddea will now load in Australia, for Hull, Antwerp, Hamburg, aud London. THE CANADIAN SEIGNEUR. The Canadian Seigneur, which arrived at Auckland on Friday morning, had an adventurous voyage. Before commencing the present voyage the Canadian neur was docked at Newfoundland to 11-ve a new rudder' ana rudder-post fitted, having lost her originaal on while en route from Liverpool to Montreal last November. Bhe unloaded cargo at Newfoundland, and left on February 2 for Halifax, where she loaded 8028 tons rifiTasurement (2830 tons deadweight), cargo for New Zealand and Australian ports, including about 400 motor-cars, 50 of which were for Auckland. Clearing Halifax on March 2. the steamer arrived u-t the Panama Canal on March 12, at mid-day. An outbreak of fire in the bunkers occurred there, but gangs of negroes working in shifts auickly located the seat of the fire and it was extinguished by the following day. the Canadian Seigneur leaving Coion at midday on March 13. Good weather prevailer in the Pacific, until Good Friday, when the vessel ran into a strong westeiTv gale with high seas and frequent rain satialls.
