AUSTRALIANS IN LONDON. London, April 11. George Cook, who is to fight Goddard at the National Sporting Club on April 23. says that his hand is fully recovered now' and he feels absolutely first-rate. The Australians are now quartered at Hampstead. Burns and Lloyd are nlso in good condition. Burns is doing indcor work in the ting at a gymnasium in Camberwell, getting much varied boxing. He behoves he has at last recovered true form. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. CARNIVAL AT PETONE. More than ordinary interest is being manifested in the boxing carnival to be held in the Empire Theatre, Petone, to-night. A programme of twelve bouts has been arranged and it will be interesting to see how the Hutt Valley boys fare against Wellington’s best. There has been a big demand for tickets. These- are obtainable at Ned Perrv’s tobacconist shop in Manners Street. Patrons are reminded that taxis and motor-buses leave the Government Buildings at 7 o’clock sharp, returning to Wellington after the carnival.
