It is announced from London that Mr. Hugh Ward has engaged the Australian artists Lorna and I’oots Pounds and Charles Austin for an Australian tour with the “Rockets” Revue.

States that a boll worm has been, discovered in North-West Australia identical with ’ho Indian pink boll worm, tvhich has caused extensive damage in Egypt and elsewhere. Four dangerous maniacs at the New York State Hospital for the Criminal Insane at Mattewan overpowered a keeper, and, with the aid of smuggled revolvers, kidnapped four guards and escaped in' a stolen motor-car. The guards later were thrown out of the car. Mattewan is the asylum | from which Harry Thaw escaped. Three of the fugitives were recaptured several hours later, two being wounded in a. fight with the pursuers. The fourth maniac has been surrounded in woods
