WATERSIDERS’ CLAIMS
AN ECHO OF A RECENT CASIs. Several waterside workers recently obtained judgments against tho Wellington Waterside Workers’ Union for in terfering with their opportunity of securing employment. Subsequently, the band instruments, a piano and some furniture were seized in satisfaction of tho claim. In tho Supreme Court yesterday. interpleader summons was brought before Mr. Justico Hosking, with a view to ascertaining whether tho assumed bill of sale to tho New Zealand Waterside Federation (which claimed the property) could stand against the judgment of tho Court.
Mr. .J. C. Morrison appeared for tho federation (on behalf of Sir John Findlay), and Mr. G. G. Watson and Mr. J. AV. Perry for the claimants . His Honour adjourned the application. until to-morrow at 2.15 p.m.
