ANZAC DAY
SERVICE IN THE SCHOOLS The executive of tho Wellington Education Board met the committee of the Returned Soldiers’ Association and the officers of the Headmaster’s Association in regard to the celebration of Anzac Day (April 25). The various phases of the function were discussed, with a view of coming to an agreement on naw points submitted. Tho outline of the programme decided upon was very much on the same lines as last year. That was the holding of a short service at tho schools at 9 a.m., commencing with prayer, hymns, a short address by a clergyman or tho headmaster, and one by a returned soldier, concluding with the National Anthem and “Tho Last Post,” if a bugler is available. Twenty scholars will represent each school at tho adult ceremony in tho same way as last year, only it will bo held near Courtenay Place, at the site proposed for the memorial. Mr. Foster, headmaster of Clyde Quay School, has been appointed marshal of the schools procession.
