RUSSIANS SENTENCED TO DEATH
BRIBERY ON LARGE SCALE BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. —Copybight. Moscow, April 7. Trohen, President of the State Trading Department, and Zermanov, his assistant, have been sentenced to death, and ten others to five years’ imprisonment. All were charged with bribery on a largo scale, following the German magnates’ accounts showing that a Russian concession cost a quarter of its value in bribes. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
ANTI-JEWISH SUCCESSES
Berlin, April 7. The meeting at Warsaw to protest against tho Budekevitch execution culminated in serious anti-Jewisli excesses, in which fifty people were injured. The military subsequently intervened. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
