The Well’ngton Homing Pigeon Society held the fin*! young bird, race of the season from Taumarunui, 172 miles. 55 birds, resulting as follows: — Mr. E. Newson’s, 1333yds. per minute, 1* Messrs. Hoare Bros.’, 1333. 2: Air. ■R. Hastie’s, 1327, 3; Air. J. Wilson’s 1318, 4; Air. J. H. Clark’s, 1317, 5; Air. J. Bruce’s, 1315.8, 6. Tho winner receives the trophy donated by Mr. W. E. Clarke. The following are the results of the various points prizes competed for throughout the season :— Maritime Championship (for most points in all races). —Air. G. Wilson, 35 pointe, 1: Alessrs. Hoare Bros., 33, 2; Mr. J. H. Clark, 32, 3. Young Bird Cup (for most points in voung bird races). —Hoare Bros., 16 points, 1: Mr. K. Newson, 15; ; Air. G. Wilson, 13i, 3. League Competition. —Air. J. H. Clark. 7 wins, 1: Alessrs. Hoare Bros., 5,2; Air. G. Wilson, 4, 3. Air G. Lowes’s Special Pointe Trophy.—Hoare Bros., 37 points, 1; Air. R. Hastie and Air. J. H. Clark, 34 each, 2. ■■
