SPORTS AT ASSOCIATION PARK
A oood programme was arranged for Saturday at Association Park, including football matches and pedestrian events, and there was a good muster oi the public. Unfortunately tho Ingn northerly wind made it necessary for several events to be omitted. lb* ground was as hard as bricks, and the surface had been top-dressed with limo in anticipation of rani, which did no*, fall. Consequently, the white grass fertiliser proved very annoying for th® plavers and referees. The Miramar Band, under Ccnluctor A. Sutherland, contributed several selections during the afternoon.
