DURING LECTURE ON SPIRITUALISM CONAN DOYLE CREATES A SENSATION BY TMEGBAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. —Copyright. (Rec. April 8, 5.5 p.m.) New York, April 6. A remarkable scene was witnessed at the Carnegie Hall during Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s lecture on spiritualism, when without warning Sir Arthur flashed a. picture taken at the Cenotaph in London during the Armistice Day anniversary services. The picture revealed in a haze above the heads of the kneeling crowd scores of dim faces, supposedly those of dead soldiers. The entire audience was stunned during a minute’s tense silence.
