Murray, Roberts, and Co. announce that the Canadian Seigneur is expected to arrive at Auckland on Saturday next from New L'-’ndon. The vessel will discharge the whole of her New Zealand oar'-o at Auckland .and the southern portion will be transhipped. The Canadian Seigneur will then proceed to Australia to complete discharge, and load and after that will return to New Zealand to take the May loading. Tho Canadian Seigneur is the first Canadian Government steamer to run in the new service. Formerly the arrivals of these vessels from America and Canada were irregular, and sometimes they visited Australia first and on other occasions New Zealand first. Now. however, a regular six-weekly service between Canada and America on a regular route is anticipated, All the vessels will make Auckland their first port of call: then they Will proced to Australia to complete discharge and loan, and thence to New Zealand again to fill up. THE CANTERBURY BOATS. The Gale, which arrived at Wellington on Saturday from Dunedin, Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton, is to la»ve to-day for Wanganui. She should arrive back on Wednesday to loud tor Lyttelton, Timaru. and Dunedin- , The auxiliary scow Kohi is due at Wellington to-day from Havelock, laden with timber. The Union Company announce tne following movements of vessels engaged in their trans-Pacilic cargo service;— The Hauraki, from Pacific Coast uorts, via Auckland, will leave Melbourne today for Sydney to complete discharge. The W.iiotapu, from Pacific Coast ports, via Wellington, is due at Melbourne. to-morrow, and will proceed thence to Adelaide and Sydney. The Wuiruea is now abiding at Pacific Coast ports for Wellington. Lyttelton, Dunedin, Melbourne, and Sydney. She is expected to leave Union Bay to-morrow for San Francisco, and to clear San Francisco about April 16. for Wellington. The Waiheino. from Pacific Coast ports, via Suva and Napier, is expected to clear New Plymouth to-day for Lyttelton. Timaru. and Dunedin. She will return to San Francisco direct from New Zealand. The chartered steamer Berengar is loading at Pacific Coast ports this month for Auckland, Brisbane. Sydney, and Melbourne.

THE ADMIRAL CODRINGTON. The steamer Admiral Codrington, due at Wellington n<ixt Saturday from Falmouth, is coming to the agency of the G. 11. Seales Company. THE WHAKATANE. The Whakatane, which is loading under the auspices of the Federal Line, will leave Gisborne to-day for Napier, New Plymouth, Wanganui, and Wellington, to complete her cargo for West Coast ports of the United Kingdom. PICKED UP AT MAK ARA. A few days ago a settler picked up on the Makar a beach a large board with the words, “Lottie Bennett/'’ chiselled into it. The board, which was painted, appeared to have come off the stern of a vessel. The find has been reported through Mr. G. If. Scales to the Marine Department. The feur-masted schooner Lottie Bennett. 496 tons, aft op discharging a cargo of timber at Wanganui, from Vancouver, sailed from Wang;mui on March 4 for Suva. RUAHINE DUE TO-DAY. The New Zealand. Shipping Co.’s liner Ruahine left Auckland at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from London, and. Southampton. The vessel will arrive at Wellington early this morning, and is to berth at No. 1 centre (outer tee) Queen's Wharf to complete discharge. OPAWA DUE WEDNESDAY. The latest advice concerning .the liner Opawa from the Federal Dine is that'tn® vessel will now leave Auckland this afternoon for Wellington, where she ia due on Wednesday evening to continue discharge cf her Liverpool cargo. From Wellington the vessel is -Id proceed to Lyttelton, Dunedin, and New Plymouth to put out the remainder of her cargo. THE HURUNUI. Tho New Zealand Shipping Co. state that the Huruuui, which left Wellington yesterday for Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge, will afterwards load at Bluff. Lyttelton, and. .Wellington. She is due bacK at Wellington, on April 27. and is to sail finally here on April 30 for London, via Montevideo and Lua Palmas. THE PESHAWUR. The Federal Line announce that the Peshawar will sail frcm Wellington tomorrow afternoon for Wanganui roadstead to complete loading for Boston, Avonmouth, Liverpool. Manchester. , and Glasgow. ORABI TO LOAD, It was announced on Saturday by the New Zealand Shipping Co. that the Orari will leave Newcastle on April 17 for Picton to commence loading for London. She 'will subsequently visit Lyttelton, Timaru, Bluff, and Wellington. . The vessel is to sail finally from Wellington about the middle of Mar for London, via Montevideo and Las Palmas. PAPAROA TO SAIL THURSDAY. The Federal Company advise that the liner Paparoa, now completing her cargo at Wellington, is to leave here on Thursday for Liverpool. Manchester, Glasgow, and Avonmouth, via Panama Canal. The vessel will call at the Weet Coast ports of the United Kingdom in the order named above. THE KAIKOURA. The New Zealand Shipping Co.’s steamer Kaikoura left Wellington at 5 p.m. on Saturday for Opua and Auckland to complete loading. The veseal is to get away from Auckland next Saturday lor London, via Montevideo and Las Palmas, WAIPARA FOB LOADING. The Federal Line advise that the Waipara is to come from Australia to New Zealand this month to load for 3Yest Coast ports of the United Kingdom. The vessel is due at Auckland, her first loading port, on April 20, and will quentiy call at Gisborne, Napier, and Lyttelton, according to the present arrangement. She is to leave Lyttelton about th«* m J ddl* of May for the Home ports, via Panama. THE RARANGA. The Shaw, Savill. and Albion Co. report that the Baranga. now discharging and loading at New Plymouth, will leave there on Friday for Wanganui roadstead. Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on April 24, and she will sail finals from here on Apri 29 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. MAHIA’S MOVEMENTS. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. advise that the Mahia will leave Auckland today for Napier and Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. The vesel is due at’ Wellington on Thursday. After putting nut part cargo at Wellington she will pizireed to-morrow week to Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. The Mahia will subsequently load for London at Port (maimer s. Timaru, and Wellington, arriving back * here on May 2. From Wellington the vessel is to sail finally on May 8 for London, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. The Mahia leaded 7400 tons of cargo at Glasgow and Liverpool, and cleared from Liverpool on the afternoon of February 24. Terriffic weather was jnet with off the south coast of Ireland, and the speed ox the steamer was below seven knots for several days, and during the worst or the storm she was only doing two or three lenots. Some damaeq to fittings on the foredeck resulted from the heavy buffeting, but otherwise the steamer escaped lightly. Colon was reached on March 13. and the Panama cleared on March 14. Fine weather then prevailed until a week out from Auckland when a westerly gale was encountered, lasting for three days.
