RUGBY
NEW ZEALAND UNION. A meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union was held last night. There were present Messrs.. S. Dean (chairman),. E. Wylie, E, Little, G. Howe, and G. W. Slade. Notice of motion was given to have new rule 38 deleted and the following rule substituted: —That the annual subscription of each affiliated union shall be £5 55,, and 2s. for each team of players under its control. For tho purposes of this rule “teams” shall mean all teams exclusive of primary school teams affiliated to a union. The report of the Boundaries Commission was received. Notice of motion was given to have the rule dealing with representation amended to read as follows:—Unions having 40 teams and under, 1 vote: over 40 and under 60, 2 votes; over 60 and under 80, 3 votes; over 80 and under 100. 4 votes; and over 100, 5 votes. The dates appointed by New South Wales foy the Maori match. June 16, 23, and 25, were agreed to.
