BRITISH TROOPS AT GALLIPOLI London, March 26. A correspondent of “The Times,” who has just left Gallipoli, writes:— “Light railways are being thrown 'out in all directions from the camps, where 15,600 British troops are stationed across the plain from Kella. A railway runs across the peninsula to Anzac Beach. If hostilities are started , Anzac would become the base.

“Work on the cemeteries, which was held up for a time owing to the Greeks’ flight, has now been restarted with Italian and Russian labour. Five permanent cemeteries in the Anzac area have been completed with the exception of headstones. ’’—“The Times.”
