The death occurred at Auckland on Friday last of Air. James Henry AlcKay, formerly of Lower Hutt. Ho was born in Hokitika 55 years ago. He came to Wellington in 1912 from, the West Coast of the South Island, where ho carried on farming and-busi-ness pursuits for many years. Ho was at one time a member of the Buller County Council, and was prominently connected with many organisations tending towards the development of the West Coast. During the war period he was connected with the War Expenses and Statistician’s Departments. After relinquishing his duties finally in the War Expenses Department he took up the clerkshin of the Otane Town Board in Hawke’s Bay, where lie remained until his health broke down a few months ago, when he moved to Auckland. He is survived by a widow, five sons, and three daughters," including Air. W. J. AlcKay, solicitor, Waipawa. Air. D. L. AlcKay, Assistant District Public Trustee nt Auckland, and Air. Allan AfcKav. of, the Wellington Woollen Company. Wellington. A meeting of the Tongariro National Park Board is to be held in Wellington on Wednesday, April 11. The -Namer- trainer.
