WESTLAND EXHIBITION
« — BY TELEGRAPH.—PBE3B ASSOCIATION. Hokitika, March 16. At a meeting of the Executive .Council yesterday the title of the exhibition to open on December lb to celebrate the completion of Arthur’s Pass Tunnel and celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of the Province of Westland, was fixed as the British and Intercolonial Exhibition. Mr. D. J. Evans, county clerk, was appointed general secretary, and has been granted leave of absence by the Westland County Council to enable him to carry out the duties of the office. Mr. Ad A. Andrews, Town Clerk, was appointed treasurer. A guarantee list, which is being completed, is expected to exceed considerably the sum originally askefr for.
