INSUBORDINATION
A BOXING ASSOCIATION PUNISHED AFFILIATION CANCELLED BY COUNCIL ' by telegraph.—press Association. Christchurch, March 16. At a meeting of the New Zealand Boxing Council to-night the following resolution was carried : — “The Otago Boxing Association’s expression of opinion ns to lack of integrity of the council in its administration of the sport, its definite refusal (in its own words) ‘to respect or obey’ the council’s decision—in fact, its whole attitude in connection with the Macquarrie-McCleary dontest—compel the council to cancel the affiliation of the Otago Boxing Association to the New Zealand Boxing Council, and to disqualify tho committee and officers of the Otago Boxing Association from taking any part in the control of boxing under the jurisdiction of the New Zealand Boxing Council.” The cancellation and disqualification are to take effect from March 16, 1923.
