OLD OFFENDER’S RECORD With tho century bend turned, John Power, an elderly Irishman, added another score to his tally when he appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in the Magistrate's Court yesterday, on a charge of stealing 7s. 9d., the property of Joo Lee Wah. The complainant and two others gave evidence concerning tho accused’s actions in the shop in Taranaki Street, but Power assorted that ho had merely entered for the purpose of purchasing a stick of tobacco. “He has 107 previous convictions,” stated Inspector Cummings.
