Sir William Bird’s Bill to amend the Merchandise Marks Act prohibits the importation of meat, unless it is indelibly marked with the country of origin or bears the word “Imported”; also eggs, unless each is marked; also packages containing fruit, poultry, or dairy produce.-—Aus.-N.Z.
